Creative Impact: an artistic collaboration

This past weekend was what I was hoping for. There was a pleasant ease as a group of 35 women got together to explore creativity and collaborate with their Creator and one another.

Friday Lisa Bradburn from Rock Creek Church talked about stifled destinies, and yet moving on to fulfilled ones. Saturday my talk was on hearing God and collaboration with the Spirit. Then we had workshops: Writing, Drama & Dance (led by Lorrie and Jenn) and Visual Art. At the end of the weekend we collaborated with one another. In the example shown below, I painted it and wrote a circle prayer, Lisa used the writing technique of mapping and took it deeper, Jenn did a beautiful reading while Lori put it to motion. Then the women joined in, paired up and came up with some amazing collaborations.

Here are some photos from the retreat:
One of the highlights was meeting and sharing our artistic journeys. I met Lisa and Kim who came from the Seattle area. They heard about the retreat through this blog. What a blessing to me: new friends, and encouragement to keep going.
Here's one of nearly the whole group:
Here is one of Stephanie who took the visual prayer in her own incredible direction:
