It’s the starting that can be the hardest part: putting the first mark in a pristine art pad or on a pure white canvas. That’s kind of how I feel about starting this blog. I want to have conversations with people that expand ideas, explore art journaling and visual prayer, express visual blessing to others, and share some how-to’s, but where to start? Here goes….

I'm so glad you started both this blog and the other! I understand the trepidation that goes along with hitting that button, 'Publish', for the first time. Will anyone read this? Will anyone care? I hope I can encourage you that these are both very worthwhile-keep it up, Valerie, because you have so much to share, both through your art and your words. I love you, my friend.
ReplyDeleteIt really is amazing how we all grow as we begin to frame our faith with words to be read by hundreds, perhaps thousands of readers and co-bloggers. The minute the Spirit within you understands your commitment, the job ( if it is one) becomes so much easier. He begins to takeover that communication... often you just sit and watch.
ReplyDeleteOh you guys understand! Phew! I had a paradigm shift when I looked at blogging as connecting with a community; everything changed and I got excited about being on the journey with like-minded/hearted people. And yes Hannah, the fear is that we are speaking into a void… nothing. A step of faith.
